“You can’t cross the sea merely by staring and standing at the water.”
- Rabindranath Tagore
It is scary to make a move in the direction of change. I can relate to you. You see a dream, or have a vision of something you want to be but you don’t quite know what to do in order to get there. Or maybe you don’t know if you’ll actually be able to make it happen. This leaves you in the “Oh, that would be nice” or “that sounds awesome” phase. The harsh truth is that you’ll never really have all the answers in how to make your dreams happen and you’ll never really be certain if you’ll succeed in chasing them down. Just like each day, we aren’t guaranteed the sun will even rise tomorrow, although most of you reading this have never even considered, “what if that doesn’t happen?”. I digress, we will leave that for another motivational Monday. My point is that we all can relate to each other. The people you see taking risk and chasing their dreams headlong aren’t less scared or even more brave than you. These people have simply made a choice that they don’t want to look back on life and wonder,”what if I’d tried harder? What if I’d taken that risk?”. They aren’t ok with being unsure of their potential and win, lose or drawl they’ve decided to lay it all on the line.
Don’t just stand there, make a move.
