Why I'm Doing the Rise45

We’re almost there, gang. There’s no more leftover turkey in the fridge. The 12 days of Christmas featured plenty of eggnog, Christmas cookies, and whatever carb-filled delights belong to your family tradition.

While you’re enjoying Aunt Judy’s Crinkle Cookies, I’m prepping for the launch of Rise 45. We’re not all that different, honestly. I’m loving it, too. It’s been an amazing experience to learn how to build good habits while focusing on a 45-day commitment. Some like to sneak two dozen Peppermint Kisses after bedtime, I’m closing my night with White Chocolate Peppermint Retire and getting a tight 8 hours of sleep. (FYI: you can do both)

A little bit about me. My name is Danial. I’m one of FNX’s newest team-members and helped create Rise 45. Starting in November, I was the test dummy for the program. Mind you, I volunteered for the assignment. I’m a little husky (as in, my weight. I’m not a dog) and COVID has helped develop some unsavory habits in my daily life. Ya know, like drinking a few bottles of wine each week, sleeping 4-5 hours each night, and not drinking nearly enough water. I’m not an especially good athlete, but I enjoy fitness. I just need a little bit of accountability to remain convicted on my commitments.

Midway through Rise 45, I realized how limited my experiences have been with building good habits. Sure, I have some. But it’s never been intentional. Not like this. I’ve never developed a good habit by labeling something a good habit before actually doing it. Honestly, even as I’m writing this, it’s striking me how NO ONE HAS EVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO BUILD A HABIT. Are there books on this? Does Gary V or Tony Robbins have a vlog series on good habits? Is this what wise old grandfathers are supposed to do? I’ve spent the majority of my life with a distinct disadvantage. What. The. Heck.

But Rise 45 has been different. It’s a comprehensive, clear view on habit building. It doesn't complicate your life with rules and regulations. You’re not walking on eggshells. The aim is to create a zeroed-in focus on your habits and wellness while living your life. I haven’t stopped living while I was on this 45-day commitment. I had Thanksgiving, birthday parties, family tragedy, and a weekend getaway with my wife. Choices had to be made, sacrifices were offered, but I was not looking at Day 46 with the heart eyes emoji. I was more excited about the next Rise and Pod than finishing this thing.

3 Good Habits During the Holiday Season

  1. Drink your Rebalance Super Greens every morning before your coffee. Caffeine can wait another 20 minutes, we’re not exactly in salad season here, people!
  2. Sit on the floor and stretch instead of potato-ing on the couch.
  3. Make a point to ENJOY those around you. Encourage others with positivity and find goodness in your grouchy Uncle Randy.

If you don’t know how to build good habits… girl, same. There’s no silver bullet or waving magic wand. I believe Rise 45 is a difference maker, not because it’s a good idea, but because I’m living it. I’m loving it. There will always be good days, easy days, bad days, and hard days. Having a helping hand while building good habits is more valuable than having supernatural motivation.

Speaking of help, everyone who signs up for the Rise 45 will be invited into the private Facebook group, a call with our in-house nutritionist, and get unlimited high fives from Adrian Conway. I might not have that right now, but I’ll be in there for round 2 (yes, I’ll be starting again January 4) to give all the encouragement I can offer.
